Iraq Pull Out Plan

I’m not happy with it, but at least it sets a solid date for withdraw from Iraq. By August 31 of next year the force will have dropped from 138000 to 50000, and by 2011 the remaining troops will leave.

How much of a difference would it make if we pulled them all out right now? What magical things are going to happen in the next two years that makes 2011 a better year for ending this fiasco than 2009?

I don’t like the way it was announced. The plan was announced on a Friday. Studies show that people pay less attention to the news on Friday, because they are preparing for the weekend. It was also announced in front of a military audience. There isn’t much chance of having an angry protester asking why it isn’t ending this month at a venue of this nature. Soldiers are not allowed to criticize the president, it’s a military regulation. The remaining 50,000 troops are still going to be carrying out counter insurgency operations, so why say that combat missions are going to end Aug. 31 2010? Changing the name of a combat battalion to a “counter insurgency” battalion is just word play and it is meaningless.

This is the type of media manipulation and word games I would have expected from the former president. We were supposed to have change, but I guess it was just change, but the change seems to be nickels and dimes. I am still willing to give the new president a chance, but this was a bad move in my opinion.

Why Leahy's "Truth Commision" Plan is Unacceptable

I was shocked today to learn of democratic senator Pat Leahy's plan for exposure of crimes that may have been committed by the Bush administration. The plan calls for granting immunity in exchange for testimony in the areas of warrantless wiretapping and torture.

We don't need these people to admit the truth under oath, we pretty much know the truth already. Granting immunity in exchange for testimony is a cop out, plain and simple.

Under the constitution of the United States of America, we have the right to be secure in our homes and our person and such things cannot be searched without a writ of Mandamus. If someone in a position of power violates this right, and is then granted immunity, then we really don't have the right. In fact, we don't have any rights, because if a situation dictates that one right is to be taken away, they can all be taken away. No one is above the law.

In fact, torture and warrantless wiretapping is just a tip of a very large iceberg. What is lurking under the surface of the water? Were voting machines tampered with in 2000 and 2004? Was intelligence faked in the lead up to the Iraq war? And if so, to what purpose was it faked? And why did building 7 fall at free fall speed due to fire? Why were vaccine companies granted immunity in the Patriot act?

Our economy is in a free fall, our water isn't fit to drink and our food isn't fit to eat. I demand answers, and I demand people be held accountable for their actions.The first three letters to the preamble of the constitution is "WE THE PEOPLE". Take note that it is not we the republicans, we the democrats, we the corporations, or even we the politicians. It is We The People. Our representatives are in congress to represent US. Not the banks, not the special interests, US. It is their solemn duty to investigate possible crimes committed against American citizens and prosecute when evidence is evident. A "Truth Commission" will only serve to provide a few soundbites where a few low level officials admit to wrong doing and ask forgiveness. If we are to remain a country of rights and laws we must have an investigation and prosecution if clear evidence of the violation of constitutional rights emerge.

Governor Vs Governor

In the first three minutes of this clip, we see a fight to the death between two men portrayed by actors who would later become governors.



Jesse Ventura was governor of Minnesota, and Arnold Shwarzenegger is the current governor of California. The fight takes place in the film "the Running Man", which was released in 1987 and based on a novel by Stephen King, writing as Richard Bachman, which had a very different ending.

Richards overpowers the flight crew but is shot, suffering a mortal wound. With his last strength, he overrides the plane's autopilot and sets the plane to fly right into the Games Building, home of the Network and "The Running Man". The last thing Killian sees is Richards in the cockpit giving him the finger as the plane slams into the building.

King wrote this as Bachman, and Bachman is not real. The fight scene in the film is a fiction within a fiction, computer generated images intended to trick the audience into thinking Richards (Schwarzenegger) is dead.

Schwarzenegger and Ventura were both "running men", in the film and in politics. There has been speculation that both men may someday run for president. If that happens, I'm voting for Jesse.

Childe Roland to the Senate Came

I don't trust politicians, but I do like political theater. I just remind myself after I watch it that it's not real, it's just a movie.

Eight days ago, I made this post about the Dark Tower poem by Robert Browning, novels by Stephen King. It's the story of a knight on a quest to find and enter the Dark Tower.

Today, the senate refused to seat Roland Burris because he was appointed by a Governor who is under investigation.

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is accused of trying to sell the senate seat, and the accusation came before the appointment of Burris.

Blagojevich has been tried in the media, and I must confess that my first thought was that "he lied in every word." This is the first line in the Browning poem. But is he guilty? The only thing I know for sure, he is guilty of is having unnatural looking hair.

On December 8, 2008, he called on state agencies to stop doing business with Bank of America in order to pressure them to make the loan needed to pay severance pay to factory workers whose job had just been lost.

Blagojevich threatened to halt the state’s dealings with Bank of America Corp. over a shut-down factory in Chicago. On December 8, 2008, all state agencies were ordered to stop doing business with Bank of America to pressure the company to make the loans. Blagojevich said the biggest U.S. retail bank won’t get any more state business unless it restores credit to Republic Windows and Doors, whose workers were staging a sit-in. Critics called Blagojevich's threat dangerous.

The very next day, he was arrested. And now his appointee Roland Burris is trying to find a way into the senate, just as Roland Deschain is trying to find a path to the tower.

Auto Maker Bailout

I sold Ford cars and trucks for over ten years. Yes, they did put out a few clunkers like the Contour, but for the most part they put out quality cars and the best trucks. I never understood the anti American car bias in the media. I once watched a special that spotlighted the Crown Victoria, which is the car most police forces use across the country. The "expose" revealed that the Crown Victoria had a tendency to burst into flames when another car would hit it directly on the rear end at 90 miles per hour. Uh, wouldn't any car be more likely to burst into flames if it were hit by another car going 90 miles per hour? Think about it. Haven't most media reports over the years pretty much said American cars suck, and imports rock?

Hondas are fine vehicles, but a lot of hoopla has been made about them holding value better than American cars. This is true, but it is because Honda's have little rebates. How a dealer will determine the value of your car is, it will determine what the original invoice was, how much the rebates were at the time of purchase, then subtract the rebate from the invoice and then make the adjustments for age, mileage, and condition. The less the rebates are at the time of purchase, the more value the car will hold. It's pretty simple math.

The image the media is trying to portray is that American cars are big gas guzzlers, while the imports are little compacts that get great mileage. The truth is, American car companies and Japaneese car companies both make compact and gas guzzling cars. Have you ever heard of the Toyota Sequoia? or the Ford Focus?

It's clear to me now what the bias was about. They want to consolidate the American car companies, and bring them under total government control.

I had a good job once, now I work part time for minimum wage.

No Good Reason

This post from Ben Jones @ HPANWO really made me think, and if you haven't read it yet, check it out.

It got me thinking about Veterans day tomorrow, and how I've said privately to my wife "They're sending those boys to fight in Iraq for no good reason." I realized tonight I was only part right.

Iraq is a sovereign country that never attacked the United States, and we invaded and occupied it anyway. I've talked to a few people here who are like parrots who repeat what they hear on the television without stopping to think about what it means. "They are fighting for freedom."

My response would be "So if we win the war in Iraq, America will finally be free?" To which I would get a stare akin to a deer caught in a truck's high beam headlights.

"Support the troops!"

To which I would say "Does supporting the troops mean sending them to a war for no good reason without the proper equipment, then not providing them with the proper medical attention and educational benefits when they come home?" Then they would either tell me how Iraq attacked America on 9-11, or they would just walk away, not wanting to think about the truth, because if they did, they might find something they don't like.

While it's true they were sent for no good reason, something good may come from their efforts. The Bush administration's bizarre action of attacking Iraq and using 9-11 as an excuse opened the eyes of many people. When the "opposition" party Democrats were voted into congress, and they refused to end the war, it opened more eyes up to the fake left right paradigm.

I remember when I was in the matrix, it wasn't easy waking up and realizing that a lot of the things I believed in was a lie, but I believe I am a better person for it. I want to say god bless the troops who are being used as pawns in a chess match. I no longer think they are fighting in vain, but by putting themselves in harms way, they are opening up the eyes of the people and allowing them to see the evil cabal that put them there.

False Predictions for 2008

Over the past eleven months, I've read several predictions mad in "conspiracy circles" that just didn't pan out. When the predictions were made, I thought they would more than likely would come true, so I shared them with my wife. Now I look like a raving lunatic, and my credibility has taken a hit.

1. Hillary Clinton will win the presidential election.

I must say, she did seem like she would be the "chosen one", but it didn't happen. Barrack Obama ran a better campaign, but if he was nothing more than a puppet, why would he? Were we hoodwinked by the elites, or do they not have as much power as we thought?

2. The United States would go to war with Iran.

This could still happen, but it probably won't. I remember Rosie O'Donnell saying on the View that another Gulf of Tonkin was coming, but it didn't happen. Gary Hart wrote a letter to the Iranian leadership warning of a possible false flag, but it didn't happen. Did this not happen because plans were exposed, or was there never a plan to invade to start with? And if the COFR are part of the conspiracy, why would a high profile member write Iran a letter of warning?

3. Martial Law would be declared.

It didn't happen. It's been threatened lately, but we still don't have it. It can still come, but it probably won't be in 2008.

4. The elections will be cancelled.

It didn't happen. In fact, Bush has stated he wants a "smooth transition."

5. The economy will crash.

Ok, I must admit this one did come true. Is it going to end with the Amero? I hope not, but time will tell.

I want to make clear I'm not saying all conspiracy theories are crap, but as Socrates said "True knowledge is knowing that you know nothing." Question everything.

OK, I made this one. After the VP debates the other night I couldn't resist putting it here. The Gunfight election part is the original text.

Who the hell was Bobby Sherman? Seems to be some kind of teen idol, only this dude looks like he's in his thirties. That just don't seem right, but hey, it was the 70s.



60 years before Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin, Wonder Woman ran for president, only it was set 1000 years in the future, so it's still 940 years in our future. Apparently, the hairstyles revert back to the 40's style in the future. So, would Wonder Woman make a good president?



I would pay good money to see Bullwinkle debate moose hunting Sarah Palin.



Is America ready for an Asian president? I don't see why not, but I don't know what his policies are.



Of course you can't have an election without the Reptilian party being represented, and they are well loved by the people.

So, who do you think would make the best president? (Maverick pick excluded.)

Martial Law Threatened Over Bailout Bill?

The only way they can pass this bill, is by creating and sustaining a panic atmosphere. That atmosphere is not justified. Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday, that the sky would fall, the market would drop 2 or 3 thousand points the first day, another couple of thousand points the second day,
and a few members were even told there would be martial law in America if we voted no. That's what I call fear mongering, unjustified, proven wrong. We've got a week, we've got two weeks to write a good bill. The only way to write, to pass a bad bill? Keep the pressure on.

The context of the clip indicates that members of congress were told of martial law before the vote failed on Monday.

The LA Times reported on the story.

"The one thing that's been proven is the absolute fear mongering that's being used to drive us is false," Sherman complained. "I've seen members turn to each other and say, 'If we don't pass this bill, we're going to have martial law in the United States.' "

It's not clear at this time if this quote is attributed to his speech on the House floor, or a separate interview with the LA Times. If it is taken from his speech, it's a misquote. He didn't say members were discussing martial law amongst themselves, he said they were told it was coming if they didn't pass this bill. (A notion that has proven false so far.) If it's a separate interview with the Times, then it is a contradiction of what he said in his speech. So which is it?

Don't Start The Revolution Without Me: Review

Yes, I read a lot of comic books but sometimes I do read regular books. The latest one is Jesse Ventura's "Don't Start the Revolution Without Me."




I was expecting Jesse to lay out why we need a revolution (political), and why the time for one is now. What I got was memories of his time as governor of Minnesota, what he has been up to since then, and why the Baja of Mexico is a beautiful place. Even so, it's not bad. Jesse has a way of communicating with the people by using what most politicians lack, which is straight talk, and it comes across in his writing. Even on the issues I disagree with him on, after reading his book I understand why he takes the positions he does.

On the talk show circuit, a big deal was made about Jesse coming out on not believing the official story on 911. Surprisingly it's not one of the main themes in the book. He does talk about the Gulf of Tonkin incident, (Which is now admitted to as a sham), and the Kennedy assassination.

It was interesting to read about his meetings with other famous people like Muhammad Ali and Fidel Castro. I was surprised to read that he is good friends with Al Gore and that he supports a global warming tax.

He touches upon his dislike of the media, mostly due to the character assassination that was done on his son, who is now a personal assistant to actor Sean Penn. It was his son that got him to question the official story of 911, which makes me wonder if Penn is also a 911 truther. He also leaves no doubt on how he feels about the destruction of our civil liberties.

Just when I was wondering how he was going to end it, Jesse gives us an alternate universe ending! An incredible fictional 2008 run for the presidency. I won't spoil the surprise ending, but it's a shocker.

All in all, it was a good read.

Sleep

I'm a big fan of Countdown with Keith Olberman. One of the sponsors of his show is "the Nation", a self proclaimed liberally biased magazine. In it's TV spot, it claims that it "peels away layers of obfuscation."



In this screen capture, the word "peels" is super imposed over Bush, Cheney, and former speaker Denny Hassert. I'm sure the good people of the Nation don't know that if the word is subconsciously read backwards it says "sleep". In other words, don't question the fake left right paradigm, fight the evil republicans. Don't question why there are only two parties, vote democratic to end the war.

What bothers me is that the dems have had every opportunity to end the war by way of the purse and have refused to do so. They use the argument by implying (not really saying, because that would expose the spin) that cutting off funding would leave the troops in place with no ammo, which is utterly ridiculous.

The Elephant in the Living Room

Today I want to explore the old expression and the republican symbol to see what synchronicities pop up.

Wikipedia defines the expression is sometimes used to refer to a question or problem that is obvious, but which is ignored out of embarrassment or taboo. The idiom also implies a value judgment that the issue ought to be discussed openly.

When I think of the Elephant in the living room, this popular web image comes to mind.



It depicts a sheep watching the president on Fox news. It implies that Fox news watchers are easily led and herded, and they lack individuality. The reason it reminds me of the old saying is that the current presidents political party is republican, which has the animal sigul the Elephant. When Bush appears on the nightly news, he becomes "the elephant in the living room." So am I saying no one talks about the president? No, it's not my living room I am referring to, neither am I referring to the American public, or the president himself. The Sheep that is easily led and herded is the mainstream media. Their living room is television, newspapers, radio ect. The elephant in the living room is 911 truth.

I don't want anyone to think I am bashing and blaming republicans. I find that democrats and republicans are two sides of the same coin. One side of the coin depicts and elephant, the other a donkey. There are good people on both sides of the isle. But 911 happened when the republicans were in power, and their symbol is the elephant, so the event symbolically represents the elephant in the living room. The three towers falling at free fall speed, one of which was not even hit by a plane, the lack of debris in Pennsylvania, the hole at the Pentagon being to small for a 747to fit through, all these things cannot be explained by the official government account. Certain parts of the mainstream media have covered the conspiracy only in an effort to debunk it, and to date they have failed miserably. So for the most part they don't talk about it, despite the fact that one third of the public doesn't believe the official story. 911 truth is taboo in the mainstream media.

Time-Life's book Mystic Places expounds the theory that elephants were abundant in Atlantis.

Atlantis was a land where skilled agriculturists created sweet-scented orchards and where animals, including a very large stock of elephants flourished.

Whether or not Atlantis actually existed is not as important as the story itself, because the symbolic meanings behind stories have power. Plato writes

"They appeared to be superlatively fair and blessed, yet they were filled with lawless ambition and power."

The story goes on to tell of an invasion of Athens, and the god Zeus in his anger destroyed Atlantis. It is interesting that Atlantis, the land of the elephants, was destroyed by Zeus, who is linked to the monument of the first republican president.

So how did the republican party adopt the elephant as it's symbol? In 1874 cartoonist Thomas Nast, who is responsible for the depiction of Uncle Sam, drew a cartoon that showed the democratic symbol the donkey dressed in lion's skin with animals fleeing from it. One of the animals was an elephant that had "republican vote" on its side. From then on republicans were associated with the elephant.



If it were not for this simple cartoon, republicans would not be symbolized by the elephant and thus the course of human history would have been different. Written on the donkey are the words "NY Herald" and "Ceaser".

Here is the current republican symbol.



Notice the three stars on the back of the elephant are inverted. an inverted 5 pointed star is a pentagram, an occult symbol known as the Sigil of Baphomet, associated with the Knights Templar.

The Baphomet is still an enigma, and there is of course some debate whether or not it was a real item or the product of torture. Several knights recalled that Baphomet was variously a severed head, or an idol possessing two or four heads, or sometimes, as a goat or goat's head. The name is highly unusual, and many suggestions about the origin of the word have been put forward. Idries Shah has proposed that the name is a corruption of a name of Mohammed. Abufihamat, pronounced "Bufihimat," a word very similar to Baphomet, is Moorish-Spanish for "father of wisdom," an epithet used to describe the Prophet. This seems unlikely, although there seems to be a concerted effort to link the Templars with Islam. The Templars certainly had contact with Muslim ideas, and even incorporated symbols of Islam into their emblems, but Islam forbade Idol worship just as strenuously then as now- creating an image of the prophet in order to worship it would have been a tremendous blasphemy.

It is interesting that Baphomet may have been a torture induced confession, and a perversion of the name of Mohammad, and his sigil is now part of the republican logo, when the neocons who have taken over the republican party advocate torture.

Again, I want to say that I believe both parties are two sides of the same coin. I don't think my mother, who is a lifelong republican is a closet satanist, or that she is hiding the truth about 911. I was just trying to see where research of the symbol would take me, and it has been an interesting ride.

"Opinion Writers" agree with Savage, Autism is a Scam

Tony Zizza, a freelance writer who has had opinion pieces published in the Atlanta Jounal Constitution has sided with Michael Savage in his asertion that Autism is a racket. He writes " It’s too bad that most people will either protest him or support the protesters in wanting him fired for essentially calling autism a racket these days. It’s also too bad that most people are lazy and will not look at the broader points he is trying to make." What broader points Tony? That parents struggling to raise a child with autism are parasites looking to get rich from the government? Or that children with autism are troublemakers because they don't have a strong father around? He also says "I seriously doubt many of the protesters of Michael Savage and Neal Boortz are the parents of children with truly diagnosed handicaps." Right. Like it's some vast left wing conspiracy to get conservative talk show hosts off the air.
Selwyn Duke is another writer who backs Savage in his offensively titled article "Judge-mentally Impaired Should Get Off Michael Savage’s Back." He pretty much says those who were offended by Savage's remarks are stupid, that Savage was really attacking big pharma and not families dealing with autism.


Do these people live in a different world? Most people in the autism community hate big pharma, because big pharma caused the autism epidemic in the first place. And why are they saying it is just an attempt to make money on medication, when there is no universally accepted medication for autism? An autism diagnosis is not somethng that is easy to get, I know some people who waited three years to get an autism diagnosis. In our case, it was a little over a year.

One could almost come to a conclusion that the attacks on families with autistic children was a coordinated effort in order to confuse the facts and draw attention away from the fact that a federal court has recently found in one case that vaccinations did cause autism, but hey, that would make me a paranoid conspiracy theorist wouldn't it?

Damn Republicrats!

When I took political science in college, I thought I had learned the difference between republicans and democrats. The republicans believed in small government, a conservative budget, low taxes, right to life, and a strong national defense. The Democrats believed in social programs, unions, abortion rights, civil rights, and they were considered to be the party of the working man. Years after graduating college I have come to realize there is no significant difference between the parties. Congress on C-Span is a show, kind of like professional wrestling for intellectuals. There are various proofs of this I could show you, but I am going to go with the hot topic of today, the Iraq war.

The democrats were elected in 2006 with a mandate from the American people to end the Iraq war. A couple of days before the election, the presumed Speaker of the House elect Nancy Pelosi said "impeachment is off the table" but only after the democrats were assured a victory. I remember the elected Democrats saying things like "The American people have spoken. They are tired of the infighting and they want both parties to work together to get things done." Total and utter bullshit. The democrats were elected to end our involvement in Iraq, and also to investigate lawbreaking by the administration. But inexplicably, every time a war spending measure came in front of the congress, they gave the president everything he wanted. The power of the purse was the only power the congress has over the legislative branch to force an end to the Iraq war, and they refused to use that power every single time the opportunity to use it came before them. I can only assume the reason is that they are as pro war as the republicans.
Well, don't look now, but it is that time again. An Iraq spending bill is now before the House of Representatives.. The people in congress see the majority of the public as stupid, and they treat us as such. The democrats have added riders to the bill, the two significant riders deal with extension of unemployment benefits and veterans education benefits. The Dems say the education benefits is a way to pay back our men and women in service for the brave work they do. THe White House says that such a good benefit would discourage veterans from re-enlisting, and would lead to a draft. Ok, here is the thing. There would be no need for a draft if there was no war! The Democrats attached the riders, and the republicans stepped into their script of smaller government and took up arms against the riders. They have been arguing about the riders for a couple of weeks now, and no one in congress is arguing about ending the Iraq war! Which is what the democrats were put in office to do in the first place! But to the average American citizen who gets his news in sound bytes is going to hear the democrats and the republicans are fighting over the Iraq war spending bill, and think to themselves "that's good they are standing up to them, I wonder what's for dinner tonight?" In my former career as a car salesman, I was trained to change the subject every time the issue of price came up, and do it in a way that would get the customer to forget about the price for now and think about how that Mustang GT felt when they shifter from 3rd gear to fourth. This is what is being done with the Iraq war. Instead of using their power of the purse to end the war, they are creating distractions. Don't get me wrong, I am for veterans benefits and extending unemployment compensation, but those things could be written on an independent bill and not tied to the war in Iraq.
Bush has said in a recent AP article that delay in approving the bill could mean no more paychecks for troops serving in Iraq after July. The sad thing is, I really do think they would cut out the checks of the men and women getting shot at but keep the billions of dollars going to the civilian contractors, contractors who are doing things like torching 80,000 dollar trucks when the get a flat tire so they can order a new truck and charge the taxpayers 250,000 k while keeping the 170,000 k as pure profit. They are letting this kind of shit go on and at the same time threatening soldiers paychecks as a way to get some kind of public outcry? The bullshit meter has reached full capacity my friends.
