Global Warming Hysteria

Due to recent realizations that some proponents of global warming lack a basic understanding of science, I feel the need to explain a few things first. In the beginnings of the Earth, there was no life. The Earth was a molten planet with toxic gasses swirling about. There was very little, if any oxygen.

The first atmospheric oxygen on Earth probably occurred as ultraviolet light broke apart H2O molecules. This would have resulted in a tiny bit of atmospheric oxygen, but it did result in some ozone. This helped form the beginning of the ozone layer.

Much more oxygen was produced through photosynthesis by cyanobacteria. However, millions and millions of years after the arrival of cyanobacteria there was still very little oxygen in the atmosphere.

The atmosphere of Earth was mostly nitrogen and carbon dioxide. The first complex plant life happened about 700 million years ago, and the first complex animal life 545 million years ago. The plants needed to convert the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to oxygen for the animals to survive. The animals in turn produced more carbon dioxide for the plants to convert. This is called a symbiotic relationship. Plants and animals need each other to survive.

Here is a pie chart of the current Earth gases.

Carbon Dioxide is at .037%. This is a 35% increase from 1832, which was before the industrial revolution.

Temperatures have gone down over the past 10 years, (01-08 are not on the chart), but the overall trend of the last 150 years has been upward. So the increased greenhouse gases are causing global warming, right? Not so fast kemosabi. One is not necessarily related to the other, violent crime goes up when ice cream sales go up, this is because both increase during the summer months. This is called a confounding variable The confounding variable here is solar activity.

You can clearly see in the chart temperature correlates with increased solar activity more so than increased carbon dioxide. It would also explain why Mars is heating up.

I could show a chart that positively correlates rising temperature with rising beer sales over the last 150 years. It doesn't mean one caused the other.

So why the hysteria over man made global warming? What is the goal of the global warming backers?

Throughout history, governments and other groups of individuals followed a plan for achieving it's goals by using what is now called the Hegelian Principle.

Step one: CREATE A "PROBLEM": Create it or take one that does exist and build it up out of all proportion to its real importance;

Step Two: PUBLICIZE THE "PROBLEM": Make sure a story about this problem appears in the news media each and every day, in newspapers, news magazines, radio, and television. Hit it again and again in a "steady drumbeat" that soon has people who don't pay real attention to politics (which is the majority of them) clamoring for a "solution" to the problem;

Step Three: OFFER A "SOLUTION": A solution that takes away one or more of our rights and further undermines the constitutional protections we all are supposed to enjoy. One that involves higher taxes (to pay for this "solution," of course), and one we would not have allowed them to do without this previous conditioning of the public.

You know the presented problem, which is global warming. A method they have used with the publicizing is to instill fear. Consider this video.

Or this film, where global warming causes an ice age overnight.

So what is the solution to global warming. It could be world government. In the book "the First Global Revolution", we have the following statement.

"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill.... All these dangers are caused by human intervention... The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."

Richard Haas, president of the Council on Foreign Relations writes..

Some governments are prepared to give up elements of sovereignty to address the threat of global climate change. Under one such arrangement, the Kyoto Protocol, which runs through 2012, signatories agree to cap specific emissions. What is needed now is a successor arrangement in which a larger number of governments, including the US, China, and India, accept emissions limits or adopt common standards because they recognize that they would be worse off if no country did.

Another "solution" is to increase taxes. If you follow the link you can see it is already in the works. I don't think it's going to get people to drive less, but is sure as heck will increase the amount of revenue for the federal government. Or so they think. It will actually cripple the economy. People will have to choose between gas to go to work or food.

The good news is that the Hegelian Principle might fail this time. A good many people have woken up to this scam, including over 17000 scientists who have signed a petition.

I think Steve Forbes sums it up best.

"There are no real facts to back it up. It's now become a religion instead of science and great fundraiser for extreme environmentalists. I don't think it's a hoax, just bogus science, like eugenics was decades ago. I got news for you ... the weather patterns change. A thousand years ago, Europe was warmer than it is today. Five hundred years ago we had a mini-ice age. Sixty years ago between 1940 and 1970, the weather got cooler. Now it gets a couple of degrees warmer and suddenly the world's comin' to an end. It's nonsense."

I disagree with Mr. Forbes about one thing, it is a hoax.

Yup, now we're seeing the agendas that we've been subjected too over time via comic books, movies, etc.

Starting to make sense now I see...they hit us early when kids, I bet you can find similar storylines around the time we were kids too, and possibly we were affected as well.

Nice post!

When I was a kid in the seventies, they tried to say we were going into an ice age. When that didn't pan out, they switched to global warming. I can't pinpoint it, but I think it was the mid to late eighties the gradual global warming hysteria started. There is no doubt our minds are still affected by the propaganda. I can't speak for anyone else, but all I can do at this point is recognize some of the propaganda and disreguard it, some of it I don't recognize until much later.
